FAQs
*Please note as of April 2025, my practice is closed to new patients*
Do you take insurance?
No, but HSA cards are accepted, and I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.
What is the investment?
Your consultation is $100 and applies to your first month of treatment if you proceed. Medication costs vary:
Compounded Semaglutide (generic Ozempic) or Tirzepatide (generic Mounjaro/Zepbound): $350-$400 total for consult + first month of treatment.
All injection supplies, nausea medication, and shipping are included.
How does this medication work?
They mimic natural hormones to reduce appetite, regulate blood sugar, and improve metabolic health, making weight loss more sustainable. Many patients also notice reduced inflammation and unexpected health benefits.
How long will it take to see results?
Most patients notice reduced appetite in 4-6 weeks. Tirzepatide is often preferred for its greater weight loss potential and fewer gastrointestinal side effects. Sustainable weight loss occurs at 1-2 lbs per week, with significant progress over 3-6 months.
How often are follow-ups?
Frequent early check-ins help adjust dosing and manage side effects. As you stabilize, follow-ups become less frequent, but I’m always available for support
What if I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked?
Hormonal shifts can make weight loss an uphill battle—frustrating, slow, and often discouraging. You’ve tried everything, yet the scale won’t budge. The struggle is real, but that doesn’t mean change is impossible. With the right approach, sustainable progress is within reach.
Is using medicine to lose weight “cheating”?
It’s completely normal to feel conflicted or even guilty about using medication to help with weight loss—many women feel the same way. You’ve likely been told that weight loss should come through sheer willpower or that using tools is somehow "taking the easy way out." But the truth is, weight loss is complex, and there is no shame in seeking support. GLP-1 medications are evidence-based tools designed to help you succeed—just like any other medical treatment you would use to improve your health.
Your decision to prioritize your well-being reflects strength, not weakness. You are choosing to take control of your health with the resources available, and that’s something to be proud of. I’ll be with you throughout this journey, supporting you every step of the way, so you can feel strong, confident, and empowered in your choices.
Do You Accept Men as Patients?
Yes! While my practice primarily focuses on supporting women with their weight loss goals, I also welcome male patients who are ready to take control of their health. If you’re committed to making sustainable changes, I’m here to guide you on your weight loss and wellness journey with the same personalized care and support.
Where Do You Source Your Peptides?
I source my peptides from the drug companies themselves or trusted compounding pharmacies that prioritize quality and safety. While I know some people may have concerns about compounding pharmacies, the ones I work with have a strong reputation for providing reliable, consistent products. I’ve carefully chosen these partners to ensure you get the best care possible. If you have any questions or want to learn more about the process, just ask!
Will I gain weight if I stop using the weight loss medicine? Do I have to take it forever?
Many people wonder about the long-term need for weight loss medications. It’s true that, unfortunately, most people do regain weight over time after stopping any medication used for weight loss, including GLP-1 peptides. This can be managed, however, and there are options to maintain your progress. Some individuals successfully prevent weight regain by making consistent lifestyle adjustments, like increasing exercise or reducing calorie intake after stopping peptides.
For those who may struggle with these adjustments, a maintenance dose can often help keep weight stable without needing the full therapeutic dose. Over time, we can work together to assess what approach works best for you.
It’s also helpful to reframe how we think about weight loss medications. For people who’ve struggled with their weight most of their lives, it’s actually quite normal for medication to be part of the ongoing solution. If someone had diabetes or hypertension—especially with a genetic component—it wouldn’t be viewed as a failure to stay on medication long-term. Managing weight is similar, and these peptides can be a supportive tool in your overall health journey.
Reclaiming Your Energy, Passion, and Joy
Your health and happiness are about more than just numbers on a scale—they're about feeling alive, vibrant, and confident in every area of your life. In addition to GLP-1 medications, I offer support with medications to help you reconnect with your energy and sense of self.
As women, we often put our needs last, but I believe that pleasure is your birthright—not something to settle for less of as the years go by. If you’ve noticed changes in your libido or intimacy, know that it’s not just common—it’s also something we can address together. Let’s work toward bringing joy, connection, and vitality back into your life.
